This policy outlines our commitment to providing fixed-price quotes with a standard list of inclusions and exclusions* to ensure clarity, fairness, and confidence in your renewable energy solutions.

How our quoting process works

Here’s how we make sure your quote is fair, accurate, and tailored to your property:

  1. Design & Quote

    We start with the info you give us, including your answers to our online questionnaire, energy bills and photos (if requested). Using that, our team designs a system that fits your home and energy needs. You’ll get a quote estimate at this stage based on our standard list of inclusions.

  2. Site Inspection

    Next, if required we send a vetted installer to check out your property in person. They look at things we can’t fully see in a desktop assessment — like your roof condition and type, battery install location, switchboard condition and cabling paths to inform the necessary materials & labour costs.

  3. Final Review & Confirmation

    We review the installer’s report and make sure everything matches up. If nothing major has changed, your quote stays the same. If there are any cost differences beyond our standard set of inclusions, we’ll talk you through it before anything happens.

Policy:

  1. Fixed-Price Quotation:

    Wattle Powr provides customers with fixed-price quotes based on detailed assessments of project scope, materials, and anticipated labour requirements, using a list of standard inclusions.

  2. Standard inclusions:

    All quoted prices shall remain as quoted if they are listed in the standard inclusions.

    This list of standard inclusions covers items typically required for the majority of installations. This list may change from time to time based on changing installation standards and best practice.

  3. Validity:

    Quotes are valid for 21 days from the date of issuance unless otherwise stated.

  4. Conditions for Variation:

    Wattle Powr commits to notifying customers immediately upon identifying potential cost variations outside of the standard inclusions.

    Any variation on the standard exclusions list will require explicit approval from the customer before the commencement of work. We will provide you with a new quote and explain the changes to you in the new quote. To avoid doubt, you will need to agree to and accept the new quote prior to Wattle Powr commencing any work at your site.

  5. Transparency and Communication:

    Our team will clearly communicate all inclusions, exclusions, and assumptions in each quotation.

    Customers are encouraged to clarify any aspects of the quote to ensure mutual understanding.

Wattle Powr’s Fair Quote Policy

  • Standard inclusions are labour items typically required for the majority of solar and battery installations. This includes:

    • A pre-installation site check (if required) and installation on a single or 3-phase site within a 100km radius of nearest installer location.

    • Installation by our pre-qualified and certified installers

    • Installation of the PV system on a single-story tin or tiled roof in good condition

    • Energy Consumption Monitoring

    • Impact protection for the Powerwall 3 equipment (if required)

    • Fire Protection devices (if required), e.g. Fire Extinguishers, Smoke Detectors

    • 10-year installation warranty

  • Standard exclusions are labour items that we do not expect to add to most quotes and are only required in the minority of solar and battery installations. Typically they are related to site specific circumstances e.g. the roof’s condition, type or angle, or the switchboard’s condition.

    If any of these come up, we'll talk to you, before moving ahead.

    Standard exclusions include:

    • Installation on poor condition, steep, cathedral-type, or multi-story roofs

    • Multiple roof faces - more than two (2) for PV systems

    • Tilting Kits for flat roof types

    • Switchboard upgrades (to ensure compliance with current standards)

    • Dedicated wiring for additional back-up circuits

    • Additional regulatory compliance costs (e.g., Certificate of Electrical Safety inspections in VIC)

    • Travel more than 100km radius of nearest installer location

    • Removal & disposal of any existing systems or equipment

    • Fees charged by electricity distribution network service providers for technical assessment of applications for connecting solar or battery (these fees may vary by distribution network, system type, size and phase)

    • Additional State Government rebates (for example the Solar Victoria Panel Rebate and Electrification Grant). These rebates will be applied to the quote as a discount to the price where the customer is eligible

  • Sometimes the inspection reveals things we couldn’t see online — like roof damage, access issues, or electrical upgrades. If that means more work or different materials, we’ll let you know and give you an updated quote to review.

  • Nope. You’re in control. We won’t start work or lock you into anything until you approve the final quote.
